Great , the release of edge V2 but as long as sapphire edge and vegas pro are not able to render to a different format than the timeline format ( ex 1440X1080 50i m2t original render to PAL DVD ), I think we should not be charged 99 dollars for this upgrade since we are required to render first to the same format as the timeline format and only from there render to whatever .

Hi Wilfried,

That is actually an issue in Vegas, and is not caused by Sapphire Edge plugins. Sapphire Edge is resolution independent. I would contact Sony if this is a recurring issue for you: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/support/technicalsupport.asp

Thanks!

Hi Katie ,

Thanks for the reply .
I did already file to sony this issue , mentioning this being pretty much very annoying when , as in my case for most of my clients , if not all , have to downgrade my footage from m2t ( 1440x1080-50i ) into PAL DVD format as end product .
Meaning whenever I want to add a subtile very nice sapphire edge something , have to take out that particular part of footage , add that very nice sapphire effect , render it to m2t again and put it back into the footage.

Wonder if , and when , sony will read and listen to my filed complaint ... but they should since sapphire edge is a real added value to their product .

Meaning I will , of course , wait to pay for this upgrade from version 1.1 to version 2 till ....

Thanks again for the answer
