I have a project that will be running HD video across 5 LCD screens. We have used a video player program running on mac minis in the past but would like to include some flash dynamic content in this next installation.
The client wants to have the ability to update content on the screens. Text only.
My question is: will director author a stand alone program that can span 5 HD TV displays and add text that can be updated over panoramic HI Res video content? I would like to use one box with multiple video cards if possible.
I have heard that director can do this with hi-resolution flash and video content. I want to use a RED camera and shoot 4k then make it a
giant panorama with text content that can update fairly easily.
Anyone know if this is the right application for me?

The one big reason for me to use Director is for the multi screen stage.
If you have two 1024x768 screens you make a stage in director that is 2048x768.
