[Neil Sadwelkar] ".shot on film at 24fps (yes, there is such a thing as 24fps)
...transferred to SD video at 25fps (4% fast, but frame count intact)
...captured into FCP as 25fps, conformed to 24fps using CinemaTools and edited at 24fps."
what you are describing is way to complex for an editor to understand or apply.. and anyway, who shoots film? why not work with a camera that's supported by FCPX? i hear the GoPro is awesome :)
;)
i assume you did notice you can choose 24 when setting a new project
it will probably be problematic on the way out and i don't think its easily reversible, and definitely not cinema tools...
but as soon as we know how the new XML tools work and what 3rd party plugs will be available for EDL etc' smarter workflows may be possible.
i always hoped that some new version of FCP will have a built in "interpret footage" option (and i still hope Avid ads one in)
guess this won't happen
