 | Layer Shifts position when i apply freeform pro
by Umer Zafar on Apr 18, 2012 at 1:29:09 pm |
Hello everybody,
I just started using freeform pro and i noticed that when i apply the effect to a layer, it shifts to the left. why is this happening and how can i stop this from happening. I am trying to apply this effect to several layers of a newspaper clipping and if layers kept shifting it will be very hard to manage.
Kindly help asap as i am short on time. Thanks.

I would be happy to help you with this. Please send me your project file. All I need is 1 one layer as you have it right now to see what is causing the shifting. Please send it to me at chris@mettle.com
Not to worry we'll get to the bottom of this :-)
Cheers,
Chris

thanks for the prompt reply chris, i think i found why it was behaving like that.... i imported a layered illustrator file but increased the scale of all elements in AE, then when i applied freeform it shifts position with the artwork showing on one place and freeform grid somewhere else.
There is another puzzle i am trying to solve. I want to place this artwork in a tracked 3d shot. As freeform is applied to 2d layers and then put in place through its own controls, i find it very hard to again place and arrange files in 3d space. Kindly provide tips on that if you got me.
P.S.. i have uploaded the file here but how do i get it to attach to this thread???? sorry for the incomplete mess
