Exports Coming Out With A Heavy Black Tone

Hi,

All my exports are coming out from Sorenson Squeeze 8 with the blacks crushed way further than the file I'm bringing in. As well as this it seems to take ages to encode anything. I'm coming from Compressor and am looking for an alternative. Is Squeeze a good one and are there any tutorials out there aside from the basic ones on the Sorenson website?

The file type I'm trying to transcode is a ProRes HQ 1920x1080 25fps Quicktime.
