23.98fps to PAL DigitBeta, matching TC

Hi,

I have a project shot and edited at 23.98 fps. The project will need to be shown on TV and the client needs a DIGIBETA PAL (25fps) for the same. My question is this, how do I ensure that the Timecode matches the original 23.98fps timecode when it is transferred to DigiBeta? Are there any special steps I need to take or should I just edit to tape using the original files?

it will never match 100% while you may start at hour 1 for a long TRT project it will slowly drift out as the ~1 frame/sec difference accumulates. you should not worry it is fine and expected, just make sure start code and TRT matches.
