Just installed the Nvidia GTX680 Mac Edition on my aging Mac Pro 3,1 and it screams like a new computer in Premiere Pro.

And with CS7/Next supposedly having Multiple-GPU export support, you could possibly combine two of these for less than the cost of a Quadro K5000.

I hope we can get some benchmarks comparing the two soon.

No. Went smoothly. At first I forgot to add the card to the list of supported cards in Premiere so I was banging my head trying to figure out why cuda wasn't working , but then I remembered to add it and it works great.

Good news, now if I can just find one here in the UK!

Thanks for that Greg, I checked that site a couple of days ago but they didn't have it.

Do you have a reference/link for this? I'm searching Google but I'm primarily finding PC walkthroughs about this, not a Mac specific one.

I found this one. It seems a little overwhelming at first but once you get through it, you realize how easy it was:

If you have a MacPro you can skip step 2.

For the Heck of it, I plugged my HD monitor into the HDMI port out of the GTX680. I went into Premiere Pro Playback settings and selected Monitor 3 as my playback and voila, Playback monitor. I just had to tell MacOSX to treat monitor 3 as a 1080p video monitor. Pretty Cool!

So your one graphics card is driving 3 monitors? What's your playback performance like in Premiere? Or in Resolve (if you use it)?
