here i go again.
1-installes avid codec
2-select clips from sd card
3-check transcode
4- go to select and only see h264,dv no dnxh
where do i select dnxhd it does not show up in qt
i am one day behind some please show me through

Prelude works off of the Preset list in AME. The AVID codecs do not have a preset already so you will have to manually add a preset that includes the settings you want to use. You can add a custom preset in AME, then you will see that listed in Prelude.

so i need to open ame before i ingest with prelude. i want to transcode to dnxhd 720p. what do i need to exactly write in the preset?

Is there any way to transcode to an .mov file from the BPAV shot on an EX-3 during import that goes real fast like using XDCAM Transfer in FCP? I have tried a few presets but they all take a long time. XDCAM Transfer transcodes about 6X real time so that would be a big help if I can do it this fast.
