Phil MastmanSubclips-Audio channels out of sync with each other

Got a weird problem...

This my first Premiere Pro project... have been editing with Avid and FCP products for 20 years.

The project is a short doc, made up hours of interviews. The interviews have been organized into a couple hundred subclips. The media was shot on a Canon C300, and converted with FCP to ProRes HQ files.

A couple weeks into the project, everything went wacky with the subclips. All of them have the channel 2 audio several seconds out of sync with channel 1 (which IS in sync with the picture). The master clips all play in sync. If I make new subclips from a master clip or even from an out of sync subclip, the new subclips WILL be in sync. Playing the original media files, everything is in sync.

I've tried cleaning the cache database. I tried importing the project into new project. I tried opening Premiere in a new user. I spent a few hours on the phone with Adobe support on this issue, with no joy.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any suggestions?

Adobe CS6.02, 2012 Mac Pro 3.06ghz 12-core, 64gb, Quadro 4000, OS 10.8.1

Thanks,

Phil Mastman
