What is everyone doing for motion blur in Premiere Pro CS6? I'm new to the program and can't seem to find a motion blur setting anywhere. Do you keyframe a Directional or Gaussian Blur? Send to AE?

Anyone using Reelsmart Motion Blur from Re:vision?

I just have a lower third PSD file I'd like a nice blur on when it flies in. I'd hate to have to send every lower third to AE for something as simple as a motion blur. Hopefully I'm missing something basic.

Thanks,

Turn on the master motion blur toggle and the layer specific motion blur toggle. Check out the manual.

The manual says nothing about Motion Blur. Are you talking about Premiere Pro or After Effects? I know how to use motion blur in AE. I'm trying to find it in Premiere Pro without having to send my project over to AE.

Don -

I'm under the impression that there's no such thing in Premiere Pro, short of using a plugin like ReelSmart Motion Blur:

Sure, you could fake it, and that's been discussed in the past, by using a Gaussian Blur and then animating the parameters, but that's time consuming, and doesn't really look like motion blur.

Don, did anyone every answer this well? I am myself looking for motion blur. I've got a picture that is moving across my screen and I'd like to add motion blur. Sure, I know how to do this in AE. But what about Premiere? Seems to me that in FCP there was a check box in the motion tab of the clip.
