In FCP, keyboard mapping zoom in/out allows you to quickly zoom into audio waveforms in the source window. I mapped zoom on PP 5.5 and while this works in the timeline ,it doesn't work in the source panel. Zooming in by mouse is just to time intensive and exhausting.

If anyone knows how to create a keyboard shortcut for this, please let me know.

thanks!

Tap the + key a couple of times. Work for you?

I have become fond of Command + G. This opens a small dialog to type in a new gain level which can be plus or minus dB. First select an audio clip in the timeline.

Thanks Mark. I mapped Cmd+G to gain. That's a time saver.

No, didn't work. I tried 'shift' + as well. Anyway to map a keyboard shortcut to this ?

Also, if I double click a clip from my sequence timeline and load it into the Source panel, zooming out reveals much more than the wave form I've already cut. Its showing me the entire waveform from the entire original clip I imported into to the project. At this point, I've made my cuts and only want to see from the in to the out point and nothing more. Anyway to do this ?

thanks.

Sorry, the +/- buttons work on waveforms in Premiere Pro CS6, and not in CS5.5. There is the zoom bar, but probably not what you're looking for.

The area you marked should be highlighted. You can use the zoom bar to zoom in closer.
