Premiere upgrades for old versions.

I have been trying to run Premiere Pro 1.5 under XPMode kludge for Windows 7 for months. I do this because of limited income and resources.

But although PP 1.5 runs well and produces it in itself is showing a lot of age and the XPMode is awkward in file handling and vulnerable to constant problems.

I am not getting a clear understanding if PP 11.5 will upgrade with current products or not. Can anyone enlighten me?

If this cannot be done I may have to jump to another program as that initial cost is a big one on a fixed income.

Hi Adrian,

AFAIK Adobe always used to have a 2-3 versions back upgrade path...I remember back when I was running either CS1 or 2 production suite I had to upgrade to CS4 or lose upgradability..or something like that.

So I'm guessing Premiere Pro 1.5 won't qualify.

However you can now 'rent' the apps you want on a monthly basis via this Cloud thing I think...so you could pay as you need it perhaps?
