Maybe I'm missing something here.

I want to have a sequence play out through a mxo2. Set up the sequence to do so and all seems fine. But if I want to edit when my mxo2 is not hooked up PrPro is saying that the sequence will be changed into a non-mxo sequence. If I want to continue to use the mxo I need to quite and attach the device.

Since I edit on a laptop there is no way the mxo is always going to be hooked up and I cannot see a way to get monitoring out unless you start and stay with those sequence settings. I'm I just overlooking a way to reset settings?

The innability to flip between "players" is a serious issue. (we have some matrox hardware as well.)

One temporary work around would be to edit in a non-mxo sequence, but nest that sequence in an MXO2 sequence so you can edit without issue and then monitor your edit on the mxo2 hardware when needed.

Short of that, you'd have to copy/paste the edits between sequences. With all the mxo2 player issues, I find myself doing that even though the mxo2 is hooked up 24/7.

Thanks.

I guess if you needed to Color Correct you would do a cut and paste vs the nested sequence?

Not bashing Premiere but there are a lot of missing things I use in FCP. The project I'm cutting my first in PP is has a bunch of different codecs, H264, ProRes and even FLV. While I could transcode I wanted to through this at PP. Amazed at the playback of anything. Just finding a lot of missing things.
