how to exclude clips from render preview or "solo" preview render?
by Marc Nibor on Sep 3, 2009 at 4:13:57 pm

can i make a render preview of a clip that is already half way into the project?

I want a preview render of only a small portion and not wait for all the other stuff to render which is up front.

i was thinking there may be the possibility to either exclude something from preview rendering (the one that starts by hitting enter) or "solo" render a clip.

the only workaround i could come up with is to move the start and end markers around the clip i want to preview render... but this seems not to be the correct way to do it ; )

is there a correct way to do that?

Use the work area bar to select the part that you want to render. Here is an Adobe link that describes the process:

Thank you. this was exactly what I was looking for. Especially the keyboard shortcuts come in handy.
