One possible solution I can think of is to use the project trimmer at the end of the edit session. (I believe that is what it's called.) What it does is remove all unused footage and only leave trimmed portions of the original video clips. I suppose then it would be pretty simple to determine how much of a specific clip was used just looking at the properties. (Or maybe automating to a seperate timeline all the clips in question just to determine a total length.)
