Hi,
I'm currently exporting a 40 minutes' video from premiere pro CS3 to Encore. It's going to take about 12 hours for such a short video, didn't choose highest quality. I don't think it's normal it takes so long. Hope someone can tell me how to fasten it/ solve the problem.

The dynamic link to Encore should be instant, no rendering.
Once in Encore, you can set your transcoding settings and choose to transcode now, and there, the rendering time will depend on your machine specs, but it should actually be as fast as a Premiere encode.

Yikes, definitely an installation or software issue, or a plugin not playing nice. What are your machine specs, and what type of project are your working with, filters?
Alternatively, you could export the file to Mpeg2 DVD using the Adobe Media Encoder, then import that file in Encore; in fact I find I have more control over the encoding that way.
It doesn't make any difference when I export it as a movie. First 800 frames go very quick as they should go till then he gives a 20 minutes remaining time but after that it slows down and remaining times goes up to hours.
I already tried to reinstall, but didn't make any difference as well. Is there some plugin or anything that can possibly speed it up a little.
