(windows) mp4s suddenly unsupported
by Ian Tomey on May 9, 2008 at 4:29:52 pm

Hi,

I've gone back to a old (2 months or so) sub timeline of a project, and the some of the source files are .mp4. Seemed to work ok before, now I get the "media offline" image for things in the timeline, trying to re-add other .mp4s gives me the message "damaged or unsupported file". I think there was a premiere pro cs3 update in between these two times... is it that?

definately got ffdshow installed, thought it might be supported through there, though can't see any problems with its setup.

any ideas?

AFAIK MP4 was never supported and FFDShow is known to cause problems.
