A great keyer in Premiere ?

A few here have complained that Premiere does support any keyers... I still believe that good keys should be pulled in a compositing app, but here goes...
It seems that, although not officially supported, the new version of Primatte (sing praise) appears as a Premiere effect, and well, mostly works. You can't drag, or use the rectangle tool. It is also awkwark, of course, since Premiere really isn't designed for compositing, but I was able to pull a key that beats anything Premiere could ever get close to in roughly 1 minute. Ok, I've been using Primatte for a while...
But, it not perfect. For one, Premiere doesn't support masks, and has no good matte options, but if you are in the quick key business and are not a AE user, that may be the tool for you.
Below. You can see issues with hair and a slight halo, but nothing that couldn't be fixed if you spent the time. The blur is intended to hide lettering on shirts...

O.K. something positive for Premiere which GREATLY lacks " chroma key" power.
I'm interested...........please go into greater detail about the install and use of this Primatte.

It doesn't require any special installation, just the use of its istaller. They have a great step by step manual at http://www.redgiantsoftware.com.
The drawback is that it's not cheap if you are just using it for Premiere, and there is that risk that it may not be 100% compatible. I am guessing an actual Premiere version will come out at some point. They just released one for FCP.

I think it easily takes on Ultra. Keylight is a great keyer but lacks some of the features I use in Primatte. Mainely the spill remover, light wrap, color matcher, and detail settings. Primatte 4 actually has a one button quick key which actually works pretty darn well, minus removing the spill. These would take much longer to recreate in AE.
I find it very easy to use, but like all the others, you will definitely have to go through the entire manual.

KeyCorrect Pro, also from RedGiant, provides several features of Primatte's matte manipulations, including light wrap, matte edge blur and feather, for any matte pulled inside AE. Anyway, thanks for the tip about Premiere. Since both Premiere and AE can share plugins this is another plus for Premiere.

Thanks for the info, I'm just wondering how well it does with a blond with poofy / curly hair.. I'm sure it isn't going to be perfect but curious none-the-less..
