PPro CS3 - MainConcept MPEG Pro 3.1 - Encore problem
by Juergen Jerzembeck on Apr 19, 2008 at 2:29:34 pm

Hi,
I´m having problems with re-coding MPEG2 files, exported from PremierePro CS3.2, created with last MainConcept MPEG Pro 3.1, being recognised in Encore as already coded. Encore needs to re-code them in order to write a DVD. What crap! I´ve purchased the MainConcept plugin just for the smart-rendering option in order not to recode whole files after having cut them in PPro.

Normally I use the "recognise file" option of Mainconcept in order to get the correct setting for the smart-rendering.

Does anyone have an idea may be where to tune setting in either Encore or PPro/Mainconcept.

Thanks,
Juergen

Just a quick test exporting an SD clip from CS3/ MC 3.1 Encore CS3 imported it fine with 4 "Dont Transcode" listed in the Project window for the .m2v file.
