I don't think you'd be disappointed with either unit. In fact you may even want to throw the 1760W into the mix of options as we have several of those on sale (B-Stock, but with full warranty). The size difference is of course substantial, especially if you ever see the units side-by-side...but hey, sometimes you have to keep the peace and in terms of functions/features all of these units are virtually identical. The 2450W does give you the added benefit of selectable color spaces and native 1920x1080 resolution, so there are real benefits to point to if you really want the 2450W instead. Also, if you think you will have scenarios come up where 3 or more people are going to need to see the monitor at once a 24" unit will work much better than a 17" unit, that may be one of the best ways to quantify the size difference without seeing them in person.
