Any programs to convert .son file to something I could ripple TC and then export back out as a .son file using macCaption?

rippled by hand...what a pain
I guess 'cause the resultant display units are tif images it can't convert but it would sure be nice if the text portion containing the TC events could be loaded into a program and rippled.
the files sent to the subtitle author had different TC than the delivered compressions. too many cooks
