| Choose a thumbnail?
• | | | |
Is it possible to choose a representative thumbnail? I see you can scroll through several options, but it still uses the first one for the Clip Summary and what is exported in the XML file.
CavDV version 9.0.6, running off the server on a Mac OS X 10.7.4.
Cheers!

Strange, does the poster frame not automatically get printed?
The feature I need is a set timecode for the first thumbnail so that slates will always be pulled. We have a client or two clamoring for that.

Hi Bryson,
Yes, the poster frame is automatically printed - however, sometimes it's not the representative thumbnail I would like to be used.
We export our XML and videos files from CatDV to our online library, so the thumbnail image CatDV uses is automatically used as the representative image online. Sometimes the image is someone in the middle of a soundbite and this can be both not very useful and not flattering! :)
Cheers,
Whitney

In the thumbnail movie or even proxy tab click on the icon of a camera to set the poster frame or you can hit the p key!

Sorry, I assumed that you had seen the command to set the Poster Frame. So I didn't mention it.
I encourage everyone to spend some time just hovering your mouse over the controls in CatDV. The tool tips are great.
Thanks Matt for the catch!
