I am having issues installing Arri Generated LUTs into Resolve for the Alexa. I have found the Application Support Library and placed the LUTs from the LUT generator Arri supplies. I don't know if the files generated from Arri require some sort of translation as I have noticed the file types are different from the default LUTS in Resolve. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks,
Matthew

Did you make the LUTs yourself ?
Check the LUT builder software again, maybe you did select a wrong entry.
They normally work perfectly fine.

The Arri LUTs go in the Arri sub-folder

yeah i guess it's a bit confusing, but I spoke to Blackmagic and depending on the LUT (1D or 3D) the LUT goes into a different folder. If the LUT has an extension of .cube, it goes in the Cinespace subfolder, for instance. There is a document explaining the different LUT designations and where they are to be placed the Blackmagic has. Apparently it is not intuitive.

Until very recently, if you selected DaVinci Resolve as the file format on the Arri LUT builder web site, it made .dat LUTS, and those needed to go in the Arri folder.

But Arri has updated the app, and it now generates .cube LUTs when you select DaVinci Resolve as the file format. And .cube LUTs need to go in the Cinespace folder.

Hello Mr. Dwaine. What About this two type of extensions:

.Lut
.3DL (Kodak proprietary)

how can import them or at least, generate a compatible Lut for davinci.?

You might take a look at this. It's a free download, and you can convert a few LUTs with it, before you have to pay for it. This will allow you to see if it might convert your LUT formats to a DaVinci 3D .cube LUT format.
