v8.2 producing corrupt xml

Hi

I have a project (75mins) that I've rendered in FCP roundtrip and generated an xml.
The problem is that the xml is 20% garbage, neither FCP nor resolve will even load it.

Anyone had anything like this before?
Is there a work round?
