Hi All

Can you tell me if anyone has produced a video tutorial similar to 'Avid Artist Color with REDCINE-X' for Resolve 9 showing the various ways of configuring and working with the panel in the app.

Even a text based detailed user guide/set up would be something as I can't find anything and the very limited info on avid support is less than useless! Alll info out there presupposes that you know how to use a color grading control surface. Well no...I could bluff my way around but I'm sure that I wouldn't be getting the most out of the unit without some specific guidance.

Any help or advice would be greatfully received

There is not much on web. I have created my self a legend, print it out and than work, work, work... you will memorize and get the muscle memory for whay you need most. More or less I use 1/3 of controls just because they are too compicated (2-3 keys combiantions), I get faster with tablet for some features, but also others with panel. It is just about your muscle/finger flow...

It would be great to be able to get option for mapping panels, just to get more out of it. I think it could be better, but on the other way, every where I go there is the same button doing same operation.

You can find the manuals for the various panels under "Support Notes":
http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/detail/supportnotes?sid=3948&pid=44...

I would love to see Blackmagic offer more customization and support for the Avid Artist pannels. I've got the Artist Transport and though it's got some great buttons/features, Resolve hardly uses it.

If Blackmagic won't enable those keys, at least allow me to customize it myself.

I have created a mini menu and placed it on the controller, it covers the 45 options the MC color can support.

It is not beautiful, but it is very helpful.

Hi Ronen

Well done, that's what I'm after.

Any chance you could post a higher rez photo as this one is unreadable
or just post the various tips as they relate to the 'keys' in the photo.
What ever is easiest

It would be most helpful and I thank you in advance for any help you can render.

Cheers
Geoffrey

I could only find this template that I did, you will need to reformat the
R1-9 Keys.

I used the Avery 5267, which fit well.
