Hi gang,
As so many of you have requested, we have taken the forum that used to be named Resolve LITE, and changed the name to
DaVinci Resolve Basics & Configuration.
(Note that we have left the URL the same for now, as many people have already bookmarked the old link.)
This reflects the observation that many of you have passed along to us, that some people using the free version of DaVinci Resolve are experienced colorists taking it for a spin, and some people who paid full price are inexperienced users trying to learn a great system.
We also agree, that rather than split by product, we'll make more explicit a split along experience level and purpose.
So, no matter what your level of expertise with DaVinci Resolve, if it's a system requirements/configuration, etc. question -- please ask it in the
DaVinci Resolve Basics & Configuration.. Likewise of course for Basic questions in general.
Rather than jump on people who start threads in the wrong place, we ask that you contact us directly as we continue to refine. Once the Blackmagic Cinema Camera ships with free Resolve software, it will get even MORE crowded here, so please keep jostling to the minimum possible. :-)
Any time you contact us directly using the, uhm, Contact Us link above, we'll get back to you as quickly as timezones, etc. allow. In addition to general issues, please let me know directly which threads you think need to be moved from the main forum to the
DaVinci Resolve Basics & Configuration forum.
