Imagine, use HSL and windows to qualify, and, within that qualification, use any AE plugins. That would be cool beyond belief.

- Mist is clunky and weird and hard to use and the result is rarely awesome. Time for V2 of the Mist effect!

- In the Hue Vs "X" curves, we really see to what extent non-linear curve falloff to secondaries reduces noise and twinkling artifacts often difficult to remove in an HSL qualification that only falls off in a linear fashion. Give us curves within HSL! We will love you for it!

You should give Autodesk Smoke a try. It kinda does just that.

How good is the tracker in Smoke?

Which control surfaces are supported?

It is very expensive still no?

Define "very expensive." Compared to almost free (i.e., Resolve), yes, it's expensive. Compared to anything that's actually comparable (i.e., Quantel iQ) it's ridiculously cheap at around $16K.

If one is a hobbyist, I guess it could be considered expensive. If one is actually going to use it professionally and make money with it, the cost is relative to the business you generate with it.

The AE plugin architecture is showing it's age. And I'm unsure how the licensing works. If Adobe needs to approve, I doubt they would considering their purchase of Speedgrade.

I think as users and from BMDs perspective it would be good to adopt the OpenFX plugin architecture.

There is already a ton of ofx plugs available, and the api is open so anyone can develop them.

I miss the colorFX room from Apple Color/Final Touch, allow for some very robust looks.

I'd love a plugin to add realistic grain in Resolve.
