Painless Snow Leopard Upgrade for CoreMelt Users
Unfortunately some users have ran into problems using our plugins on Snow Leopard. To ensure that your upgrade goes as smoothly as possible we recommend the following procedure:
1. Install your Snow Leopard upgrade, we recommend a clean install if possible rather than overwriting Leopard.
2. After Snow Leopard is installed, make sure you have the latest versions of FCP and Motion by running software update.
3. Then please re-install our latest version of CoreMelt plugins to make sure you have our Snow Leopard compatible version (V2 2.2.2c). Latest versions are here:
http://www.coremelt.com/updates/ 4. In some cases you may need to re-install your serial number, even if you installed over Leopard.
For more details please see this page on Snow Leopard on our website.

After Effects CS3/CS4 Users
Unfortunately there is a serious problem regarding using V2 plugins in AE CS3 / CS4. AE users should avoid updating to Snow Leopard at this time, Adobe and Apple are aware of this problem and it is a general problem for many plugin developers. More info:
http://blogs.adobe.com/keyframes/2009/08/after_effects_and_snow_leopard.htm...
If that does not work you may need to reinstall FCP from the original disk and then run software update to update to the latest version, then run our installer again. It appears for a small number of users the upgrade to Snow Leopard corrupts library files that are needed to make third party plugins work.

Hi there,
Thanks for the quick response.
I tried the plugin updater but it did not work. I also tried to reinstall coremeltcomplete.
The thing is, yesterday I did a clean install of Snow leopard, and reinstalled fcp studio 3 from disks just hours before installing fxfactory and your coremelt plugins... so i had not upgraded my system or fcp!
boy, anyone who ever tells me that mac's are easier to upgrade than a pc needs to rethink... ive just upped to win7 on my wife's computer and had no probs at all. Snow leopard has caused sooo many of my apps to behave badly, crash etc... eventually did a clean install yesterday.
Do you still think its necessary to try install ALL of fcp again? That is such a pain! Cant i copy the plugins from one place to another to be "seen" by the system?

Ok, if you did a clean install then instead please try running disk utility and repairing permissions and then re-installing. You can also try installing as a different user account.

Hi Roger,
I did a repair, it said it completed successfully, but had this
SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAgent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
in the report, I dont know if coreservices have anything to do with coremelt!
it did not work, so I created a new admin level user account and logged in to that, installed, and again, no joy... very frustrating given this is a completely fresh OSX install, all the latest FCP and OSX patches applied first, the latest FXFactory... odd.

sorry I realised I've forgotten a likely cause. In fxfactory 2.07 and later you need to check the box "show discontinued products" to see coremelt products for registration.
if this was the problen, I apologise for the confusion, this change was not made by us and is not under our control.
