Creating Music video - Editing
by Pavel Pavlov on Apr 24, 2012 at 10:14:40 am
I want to start editing music video.
I have a media(a lot of clips video from 5D with singer in other make-ups and clips with dancer and master audio clip).
Can you share with me your workflows, tips and tricks to cutting music video? I'll want use Smoke or Avid MC for working.
I'm interesting a creative part of work too.
There is no script for video, I'll must make it myself while creating music video.

You have framed the question in such a broad way, it is hard to give an all-encompassing answer. The edit will be driven in part by the style of video you want to make. Is it all performance? Is it all narrative? Is it a conventional mix between the two? What kind of emotion are you trying to communicate, and what kind of overall story? Is it going to be very literal, following the lyrics closely, or completely abstract? Do you have something in mind that's already been done that you might reference?
When you narrow the scope of the questions and give us a better outline of what you're wanting to do, then we can give better advice.
Your sig file implies you are an experienced pro editor, so I'm wondering about the elementary nature of your initial question.

I never yet making music video.
I think you tell me something that can help me in my work.
I am going to start with next step:
1) Preview all tracks and mark all frames that view interesting.
2) Sync all singer clip with music master audio clip.
3) Mark audio master clip - rhytms, accents
