Thelma is a genius, but I don't have to tell you that.

I would certainly love to see more forums on editing feature films. My true belief is that anyone experienced enough doesn't have the time to read forums.

And, anyone on forums are not experienced enough to reflect the workflow of large feature films.

I hope I am wrong on both accounts, and would appreciate a link to editing forums.

In particular, the workflow that I am interested in is the link between producer, writer, director and editor. Do all 'large movie houses' use the same template, or does the director or producer have their own workflow that they insist upon.

I realize not all movies are meant to have such scenes as this one in Raging Bull, but it's great to hear from the editor who cut it and hear a smidgeon of what she went through to create it. Thelma is certainly unparalleled in her skill to take four hours of footage of mis-matched action and improvised dialogue and create a dramatically cohesive scene; in many ways SHE directed that scene through her editing skill.
