anyone shooting 720 24p with the PDW700?

Hi, we have not added the 24p upgrade to our PDW700 yet, although with the latest firmware (1.5), there is an option available for 720 24p recording. A test recording that was ingested into FCP with log and transfer, shows the clip to be 1280x720 59.94 XDCAM HD422 720p60, even though the recording format chosen was 24p . This test clip cannot be conformed to 23.98 in Cinema Tools, gives a temporal error...
What is the 720 24p option doing in the menu? A mistake? Or only activated when you add the full 24p option/upgrade to the camera?
We are planning to get the 24P upgrade soon, but wondering if there is a real option for 24p in the mean time?

Yes as I understand it the footage shot at 24 p will need pulldown.
The option for the 24p only gives it to you in1080. Thank you Sony, a very expensive option that needs to be thought about before you buy
