closed captioning doesnt print to HD CAM tape dubbed in an HD CAM SRW

To the cow,

I am playing a stereo HD Closed Cationed file out of VTR exchange through the AJA IO express. Dubbing to a HD CAM TAPE in an HD SRW deck.

With the SAME workflow:

why would the captions show up on an HD SR TAPE and NOT on a HD Cam tape?

we also tried this work flow using the print to tape feature in final cut playing out of the IO EXpress playout card.

Is there a setting on the SRW to allow captions to show up on a HD CAM tape?

Please provide some insight.

thank you for your response.

I just ran a test with the settings you provided:

1- the test worked out with captions being dubbed/displayed on the HD cam tape.
2-The settings also did not effect the dubbing of captioned material to an SR tape. So, we can leave the settings as is for the moment and assume further SR dubbing not to be effected

**3 - while monitoring the CAM tape being dubbed (SR HD SDI output to our Sony broadcast LCD monitor - LMD-1750W) the captions show up jumbled and out of whack. while playing back the dubbed CAM the captions display perfectly. So with these settings I will see jumbled captions during the recording only. Strange

Our monitor is in "608(VBI)" for HD content

any thought on why the captions would be jumbled monitoring while in record??
