Compare Frames
by Anthony Dupsta on Jul 7, 2009 at 9:56:50 pm

I need to do a framestore, or frameBank, or compare A B.

It is not efficient to turn a node on and off. And to use two viewers and AB with the built in viewer wipe this will not work.

I want to turn off a few nodes and compare what the script looks to what the final script looks like with those same nodes turned on. Than quickly AB the two. Most apps can store that frame in a buffer than you can call it back up and do the compare live.

Thanks

You can duplicate the whole tree and turn off certain nodes in one tree and compare them that way. It's not pretty but it works.

Hum, that is a big band Aid but that will work. Kinda crazy to have to do that in front of a client to compare a few diff style look frames we create on the fly.

Thanks for the tip, I will give it a shot and see how it works.

Any other tips on this out there guys?

After tweaking your first setup just click the pause button || (lock for fusion)switch to another view buffer then tweak your second setup. You can now compare the two different setup.
Hope it helps
