How to impor .mov .mpg . avi in nuke

Hello i am totally new to nuke but i couldnt figure out how to import moive files, and above that i also needed to know how to use layers in nuke i mean how to show text above a footage its node based so i couldnt figure that out

use read node for mov.

dont think you can read mpg and avi not shure.. anyways who want to comp mpg or avi files..

for text use a merge node.

Thank you javier i am totally new to editing so i would like to know why you said who wants to edit mpg or avi. So kindly tell me if i have shot video on say hdv or camera provides avi files then how should i edit them.

ok

There is a script in nuke called avireader.
Are you sure you are cant import a mov?
i mean are you trying to load (read) a mov file and you receive an error?
