Writing with the Light streaks ???

Hello everybody.
First excuse me for my english.im'comming from the netherlands.
I made the tutorial from Andrew Kramer called Light streaks

My problem is this...
I like this effect so much but i'm a newbe and wanna use this effect on my own.
what i like to do is writing my name with it.
i looked everyware, but the only tuturial i can fint is a shaky final, and that i don't like.
It's just the smootnes from the Andrew Kramer lesson i like so much.
The problem in this lesson is that he is making a partikle that is living and moving on his own.
Is there sombody ho can will help me.

To create your name or any shape just ignore the section of the tutorial where you create the wiggle expression, just make your shape with a path and animate you light/emitter along the path.

Hi Steph,
Did you have any luck getting the emitter to follow your path? I am new to AE and cannot seem to get the light particle emitter to follow my motion path. How do you link the emitter to the path?
