Im working in a comp and when I drag a flourish into my timeline its already fully "flourished" if you will. When I scrub through the timeline to see where it starts to animate it just stays the same. Like it's a still image or something. What am I doing wrong? Ive used the same flourish twice in my project and its worked great. But when I used it for the third time, something happened... ????

Maybe you could tell us a little bit about your flourish. Y'know, whether it's precomp, a movie, an image sequence or something else. Inconsequential stuff like that.

About the only thing I can think of is that you applied Time Remapping or otherwise messed around with the frame rate. Perhapes you did it the first time in the project, then copied the same footage into a new comp.
If it's not that, then I'm out of answers and I'll be grateful to learn right along with you when someone else responds.

Its little known... but using the same flourish three times in a project will upset the balance of good and evil and cause a rip in the space time continuum, thus causing flourishes to freeze in there fully flourished state... sorry man... just physics... einstein's fault..
Actually.. that sounds really odd just for the heck of it.. What if you made a whole new empty project... added the flourish, if thats working fine.. save the project. Then import that project into your main one... See if the flourish works...
Could there be a proxy setup? Accidentally?
Sorry I know its a stretch but its hard to troubleshoot without seeing it..
