Transparency in After Effects CS3

Hi Everyone,

I was following the Earth Zoom tutorial on Video Copilot, and when I imported the large earth file (which is a transparent PNG), After Effects didn't recognize the transparency. Here is what I get:

Open the interpret footage window for this picture, and let AE guess at the alpha channel.

I clicked the Guess button under the Main interpretation window, and nothing happened!

Well, if you tried all the variations of Alpha Channel interpretation, then I'd say your picture has a stray background in it. You can either get a new picture, or just put a circle-shaped mask around it.

I have seen SEVERAL posts from people about Video Co-Pilot tutorials... why don't you go back to the source of the tutorial and ask its author.
