Edius NX on MacPro 2.66GHz Quad

Using Boot camp and Windows XP.
Edius NX runs fine, but if I close down and then immediately re-boot the computers hangs up before POST. Leaving the computer off for a minutes before booting up enables normal boot up. The same problem exists regardless of whether I close down from OSX or Windows - it does not even get as far as to allow me to make the choice of OS. Recovery from the Sleep mode is also impossible. The same behaviour is experienced when closing down from OSX. Both the Edius NX cards and the Mac have been checked by GV or an ASP and have been declared OK. The ASP replaced the motherboard and this improved the situation to what it is now; before it took half an hour to recover!
Does anyone else have this, a similar problem or an answer?

Geoff,
I have the same machine with Edius installed. Unfortunately no NX though, so my comments are of limited use to you. With just the Edius sofware installed, I haven't experienced the issues you describe. Have you tried moving the NX to a different slot?

All combinations of slots and cards have been tried with no difference in the results. Despite this, Edius performs well, but I just wish I could get an output to an external HD monitor.

Hi John,
Yes, I have had contact with StormDave, but it was in the earlier days when I had to wait half an hour before being able to reboot. Since the new motherboard has been fitted to the MacPro this waiting time is down to one minute, but I've decided to not keep the NX cards in the system and so just use the Edius software which performs very well.
