remembered that I'd left the Leopard discs back at my parents' home 100 miles away. Installed windows anyway.
The installer wouldn't stop installing windows, I had a choice either boot from cd or let the computer freeze so kept booting the cd, now when I turn on the computer it won't start on my original hard drive it keeps trying to boot from the bay2 hard drive. I have to hold option key every time I start up to select the hard drive. Even though I have deleted (reformatted) the new Bay2 hard drive.
so how do I make my mac start in osx (bay1 hd) instead of bay2 hd?
I have tried system pref - start up disk chosen osx but that doesn't work. The only way it starts up from bay1 is if I take out the new hard drive. I wonder if I swap the hard drives round it might start up from the original hd that way.

no there is nothing installed when I go to boot camp, I just don't get why it tells me that bay 1 hd is my start up disk but it doesn't start up from it.
