You can use MacDrive or Paragon for reading files from one OS to the other. I tried it with 16-bit tiff image sequences and Vista crashed everytime. So I ended up using sharepoints from a mac computer to transfer the files to Vista over gigabit ethernet. But with smaller files it works well.

As far as cards go, Blackmagic cards should be fine. If you're using an AJA card, you should talk with AJA to see if it will work.

There was a post on the AJA forum recently to the effect that cross-platform drivers were in the works for the Kona cards.
