Has anyone used remote sharin Mac to Windows?

I have a Macbook Pro 2.2. I was just about to get XP – now after reading this this board, who knows?ta? But I have one question that I have been unable to answer anywhere and I was hoping maybe someone here. My problem is that I write with a partner 1,000 miles away and we use Windows Messenger remote assistance or application sharing. He’s on PC (XP). My desktop is a PC. But I have to travel and that means I’ll be on my Mac. Sharing is the only reason I need to install a Windows OS – is there any way to share Mac – PC – or do I have to install XP/Vista?
