 | .psd being resized when placing in Illustrator
by Matt Greco on Apr 4, 2012 at 4:27:24 pm |
Hello, quick question. I'm placing a .psd graphic into an Illustrator project with Illustrator CS3 (Photoshop is 7.0) and when I do it resizes it. The image SHOULD be 1400 X 1400 and when I place it in Illustrator it comes in at around 300 X 300. Re-scaling distorts.
I'm sure this is a simple thing I'm missing, but I didn't find anything on these forums. Any help appreciated.

Update: I WAS able to rescale it without any quality loss, I'd still like to know why that's happening though.

Illustrator honors the ppi of raster images, so that may have played a factor, depending on how you rasterized your image. Or, if the 'raster' was a vector smart object, that could scale-up perfectly also.

Hm, both things were at 300 PPI though.
