I always wonder:

You have a bunch of objects (let's say circles). Position is absosutly as wanted it but now you decide to make them smaller (all of them by 75%). When you select all og them and then resize > the whole group of objets gets smaller. Meanign the position of each single circle is actually changed.

How can you avoid that and just get each single objed smalle, but still located at the exact same spot in my picture?

The Transform Each command does what you want.
