R3D files not opening up in AVID.

Hello,

So I am fairly new to Avid(Long time FCP 7 user) am trying to edit a low budget feature.

I am linking volume AMA files and accessing raw R3d files to make a rough draft.

All my other R3d folders with media files are linked except for two folders.

The individual folders have same multiple R3d files (duplicates of equal or less size)
On Redcine X pro it plays and links to only one file when shown in finder but when I try to do link AMA volume in AVID it won't open like the rest.

I don't want to transcode as I usually do with FCP due to multiple massive files within the folder.

I have no clue what the issue is.
