power up the redmote
Press softkey#3 "Setup" under the LCD screen
Arrow down one menu option to SETUP SYSTEM, click ENTER (center button of directional pad)
Arrow down to VOLUME, use outer ring of directional pad to lower volume to full left setting. That should mute the beep from the redmote.
Press MENU button on lower left of redmote to exit.
