RED Epic Slow-Motion do I need to conform the FPS?

Hello,

I am going to help out on a project which will be shoot with RED EPIC. I am asked to try to transcode all the material do ProRes during the shooting.

We're going to shot everything from 50 to 150 fps. I was just wondering how it will work with transcoding which will be done with red cine-X.

I haven't transcode slow-motion RED-files before... :S

but I know with the Canon DSLRs if one shoots 50 fps the clip then shows in 50 fps and not 25 fps.
So if you shoot 50 fps transcode two sets of files ex. ProRes 422 (HQ) for online and ProRes Proxy for offline editing.

And you conform the Proxy to be read as 25 fps and then use "reconnect media" to the reingest HQ which you have forgot to conform to 25 fps, FCP won't do this as you want..


So to my question, do I need to conform the RED files to read 25 fps or is this done automatically?
Is there anything else that I should think of when transcoding to ProRes?
