Red Reconform Problems in FCP7
by Gerry Curtis on Nov 2, 2011 at 4:51:57 am
Hello,
I have a short film I'm going to color grade that I'm trying to reconform to the native Red media with the media manager method as outlined in the Red white paper. The project was edited using proxies created by the client.
When I got to the log and transfer window and select the folders containing the red footage I get the following error: Day 1 (the folder I chose) contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure.
I'm working with OS 10.6.8 and the Red plugin is version 30.3.

Hey Jeremy,
Thanks for your reply!
I'm not sure exactly how the proxies were created but I can find out. They seem to be all over the map, some prores hq1080, some prores 720. The naming convention matches the R3Ds.
I'm planning on grading with Resolve, & I was able to look at the clips fine after adding them to the Resolve Media Pool.
Log and Transfer won't even mount the folders, as I mentioned earlier, so that's the first hurdle, recreating the edited project in Final Cut.
