Hello,

I have a short film I'm going to color grade that I'm trying to reconform to the native Red media with the media manager method as outlined in the Red white paper. The project was edited using proxies created by the client.

When I got to the log and transfer window and select the folders containing the red footage I get the following error: Day 1 (the folder I chose) contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure.

I'm working with OS 10.6.8 and the Red plugin is version 30.3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Gerry

How were the proxies created by client?

Where are you ultimately trying to go, Color?

Hey Jeremy,

Thanks for your reply!

I'm not sure exactly how the proxies were created but I can find out. They seem to be all over the map, some prores hq1080, some prores 720. The naming convention matches the R3Ds.

I'm planning on grading with Resolve, & I was able to look at the clips fine after adding them to the Resolve Media Pool.

Log and Transfer won't even mount the folders, as I mentioned earlier, so that's the first hurdle, recreating the edited project in Final Cut.

Cheers,

Gerry

Are they Epic files?

Can you post a screen grab of the directory?

Are you pointing Log & Transfer at the .RDM folder?

It looks like you are missing the profile files, but that shouldn't stop you.

Hey Jeremy,

Thanks, the whitepaper wasn't clear on that point. One of the folders only contains RDC folders, will that be a problem in any way?

Appreciate the help.

Cheers,

Gerry
