Hello,
I am trying to output the correct file from Redcine to FCP, but when I import the file I rendered out in Redcine, I get a message in Final Cut saying "The following media files are not optimized for Final Cut Pro". I am going from 4K to 1080 and here are the settings I am using:
PROJECT - RedSpace (also tried CameraRGB)
SHOT - Framing: Fit to Width
OUTPUT - Quicktime, AppleProRes422, HD 1080, Full
What am I doing wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

That's not necessarily a dealbreaker. FCP reports that when it doesn't like a particular combination of codec, resolution and frame rate but that wouldn't prevent you from cutting.

Well, FCP lets me import the files after they give the warning, but when I try to export the sequence to Color, the program starts to act up. Once I delete the clips exported from Redcine, Color works fine again.
Is there a correct setting to use when exporting from Redcine?

You can skip RedCine, but don't use proxies, use the native ingest by L&T as described in Apple's whitepaper. Proxies are causing problems in Color if the original R3D files are spanned (which they are in most cases).
