image quality in Mocha comp window BAD!

Hi guys,
This has always been the case in Mocha since I started using it...in that when I view my clips in the mocha comp/display window it is very jaggy and made up of giant pixels...this is not such a problem for tracking (which has been most of my work up to now) but I'm doing quite a hardcore roto job at the mo and it's very difficult to see what my clips/comps are REALLY going to look like from within Mocha...is there any way to remedy this and do you know what I mean?!?
Second question is are there any advanced roto tutorials out there that cover extreme perspective changes and stuff like that? I mean the tracker works with planes - I know that - but when I have a body (footballer) in a loose billowing shirt who is weaving about and spinning around how much use is the Mocha tracker really?...Or am I better off hand roto'ing in AE?
I do love the app...just not 100% convinced on it being a definitive roto tool...unless I'm approaching it wrong?
Thanks chaps.

Hi Jimmy,
My clips look pretty good in the viewer. What res is your monitor set to? Are you using interlaced or clips with pulldown in them?
Is your project set to the proper pixel aspect settings for your clip?
As far as the other question. For rotoing I recommend to experiment with this technique:
1. before tracking, create a rotoshape around the object you are rotoing.
2. go through and set some inbetween keyframes as if you were doing a rough roto (maybe every 20 frames, but depends on your object and the motion)
3. Then track.
This is an interesting technique that makes the combines keyframing and tracking. It looks off when you are watching the tracker go, but when you play it back you will see that the inbetween frames are even tighter than before the track.
I hope this helps as this is one thing that we really need as a tutorial.

Hi Ross,
Thanks for your reply - I will try that roto technique..
As for image quality in viewer - I've tried it with interlaced AND progressive footage, all with proper aspect, etc and they almost look like they're made from giant square pixels, no matter what zoom size I view them at.
I'm viewing at 2560 x 1600 on a 30" Apple display.
Is there anyway in Mocha to switch the viewer zoom size to exactly 100%? (Like in After Effects when you hit the '>' and '/' keys together)
Thanks.

To get the real size of you image in the viewer... hit "/" on the numerous keypad. And to fit the the image in the viewer press "*" just next to the "/".

That worked a treat, cheers! It seems unless the "/" has been hit and the clip is exactly 100% then it goes very jaggy. That keystroke means I can see it crisp at full res now though, thanks.
