Mokey on Xsan
by Jason Hearne on May 7, 2008 at 10:39:51 pm

Hello all. I just joined the Mokey clan. Glad to be here. For the Record I'm a Mac User (In case that was not derived from my subject header).

I got an issue that I think could be SAN related. But I wanted to verify here before persuing and to see if there is a work around besides working locally.

I'm successfully erasing things from video. I watch it happen as I render out the frames. But when I play back my results, I get Yellow error text over my original "non erased footage". Occasionally I get a few frames pop on that It successfully rendered but it is never consistent. I also see where those frames are being rendered (in Finder).

I had this experience with Real Flow, so it makes me think tis possible.

Jason,
I haven't seen this before. If you would like to send us or post the project we can verify if the problem is in your system or the project.

Best,
Ross

Sure thing.

As I do I just want to post a new Error log this time it came up as a dialogue prompt. I hit "Undo Rendering in all frames" button and I still get this error. 0781IW is the name of the HD Quicktime file.

Couldn't read cached image file from disk; file has been deleted. Details...
Failed to read file: /Volumes/MediaGRFX/CLIENTS/RBImages/SkinIt_Old/Video/Editor/High Rez/White Psychs/Results/Remove_0781IW045.tif.
The file may be missing, corrupted, or in an unsupported format

I get this even if I have never deleted anything. I get this error right after I do a remove and try to watch it.

Do I need to zip the file with the Quicktime source?

Also I don't think I mentioned that the error is completely random.
